What is TERIFLIX?

TERIFLIX aims to personalize movie experience by creating spaces for small groups of people to gather and experience movies of their choice.

As an alternative to the current large-hall model of movie consumption, which can be very public and rather inconvenient, TERIFLIX offers “private-screening” at an affordable price for customers wanting to have an entire mini-theater for themselves to privately enjoy a movie with just their chosen friends & family or business associates.

Today’s multiplex experience unwittingly fosters viewers to be guarded and recluse. How often do you notice people talking to co-audience members about the film? NEVER, right? At TERIFLIX, “social-screening” encourages small groups of people to gather together to watch a movie and indulge in a social-conversation about the movie, it’s ideas, making and so on. TERIFLIX offers spaces for genuine movie lovers to network and bond over movies!

We intend to transform the current model of distant & impersonal cinema viewing experience into an accessible & lively experience for our patrons.

TERIFLIX is the space for you. We have a platter of offerings that will meet all your needs.

For starters, we have Social-Screening. You can become a TERIFLIX Social-Screening Member for a low monthly subscription. As a Social-Screening Member, you get to enjoy as many number of movies as you want during Social-Screening Slots at TERIFLIX completely FREE. Social-Screening allows small groups of people to gather together to experience a movie, and then indulge in a social-conversation about the movie, it’s ideas, making and so on. TERIFLIX offers spaces for genuine movie lovers to network and bond over movies! Y

Next, we offer Private Screening. You get to have the entire TERIFLIX mini-theater for yourselves to enjoy any movie from TERILFLIX Movie Library privately with your chosen friends, family or business associates.

Finally, if you wish to stream a movie or TV show from your Netflix or Amazon Prime Video accounts, you will love Private Streaming. You can rent TERIFLIX for a private experience with your chosen friends and family of any content from your Netflix or Amazon Prime Video subscription.

I am a filmmaker. What does TERIFLIX offer to me?

As a filmmaker, you will find TERIFLIX to be invaluable during your post-production, marketing and also after its release.

First, we welcome all kinds of filmmakers – feature film, short film, music videos, corporate videos and wedding videos. You can rent TERIFLIX to screen your own copyrighted content to your private audience. For instance, you can use TERIFLIX Venue Rental offering when you have to preview your movie along with your production team, or when you wish to showcase your movie to potential distributors.

Second, TERIFLIX and you can collaborate to extend the life of your movies. Once your movie completes its run at the theaters and multiplexes, your movie can continue to live at TERIFLIX, theoretically until eternity. Everytime your movie is consumed as a part of Social-Screening or Private Screening, we will happily share a portion of revenue with you. Learn more about attaching your movie with TERIFLIX here.

What is so good about TERIFLIX?
Oh! you would love the TERIFLIX experience for several reasons:

One, enjoy great visual and audio experience in a tastefully designed, cozy and comfortable auditorium. Some say the experience is better than at a multiplex.

Two, TERIFLIX offers a suite of products that satisfy all your entertainment needs.

  • Do you want to experience cinema privately with your friends and family? We have Private Screening for you.
  • Do you want to stream a movie from your Netflix or Amazon Prime Video subscription? We have Private Streaming for you.
  • Do you want to screen your own copyrighted content? We have Venue Rental for you.
  • Do you want to experience cinema as an individual member of the audience? We have Social-Screening for you.

Three, you get to choose your co-audience. In Private Screening, Private Streaming and Venue Rental products, everyone in the audience are your invitees. Just like at your home, but something not possible at a multiplex. Even with Social-Screening, there is a high chance that many other people in the audience are known to you because, in Social Screening, we assemble the audience from friends on social media – your social media.

We have taken the best of both worlds, home and multiplex, and created a unique blend to deliver a great experience to you.

What is the quality of equipment and infrastructure in TERIFLIX venues?

We have invested a lot of effort in creating the best environment for delivering a superior experience to you.

For our flagship venue at Girinagar, Bangalore, we have sourced all the equipment from best-in-class companies from across the globe. All the speakers are imported from France. The four Atmos speakers mounted on the ceiling are imported from the US. The sound is powered by the latest Marantz 6012 amplifier. Marantz is known for making great amplifiers, in addition to having seven decades of experience in this field. The Full HD 1080p REC 709 Color projector is imported from Taiwan. The SPC (silver plated copper) HDMI cable transmits loss-free, Full HD image to the projector.

As we expand and open new venues, we will invest in equipment appropriate to the size and capacity of the venue to deliver the best-in-class audio-visual, aesthetic and ambient experience to you.

While we have taken enough care to create the best infrastructure for you, we cannot provide any warranties or guarantees for Internet quality-of-service, uptime or fitness of the equipment.

Where all do you have TERIFLIX venues?

We are at present only in Bengaluru, where we have two venues – TERIFLIX Purple, Girinagar and TERIFLIX Blue, J.P.Nagar.

We will soon expand across the city of Bengaluru, and gradually across several cities in India. Please give us some time, and you can be sure to find a TERIFLIX Venue very close to you.

What is the capacity of TERIFLIX venues?

All our venues are “mini-theaters”, with capacity varying between 8 and 40. Please review individual Venue details to learn more.

May I get WiFi access to my devices at your venues?

We have optimized the WiFi to offer you best viewing experience. Other devices hooked to the WiFi will hinder playback of streaming media content and ruin your experience. For that reason, we cannot extend WiFi facility to you. However, please feel free to use your own 3G/4G connections.

Do you have parking space?

It depends on the venue. Some venues have dedicated parking or valet parking. Rest offer public parking space, where you may park anywhere taking care not to inconvenience the traffic flow, neighbors or the general public. Please review individual Venue details to learn more.

May I cancel my booking?
Sure. You may cancel your booking. TERIFLIX Cancellation Policy is as follows:

  • 3 days or more before your rental/booking: Cancellation with 95% refund.
  • 24 hours to 3 days before your rental/booking: Cancellation with 50% refund.
  • Less than 24 hours before your rental/booking: Cancellation with no refund.NOTE: Refunds, if any, shall be processed within 20 days from the date of cancellation. All refunds shall be processed offline (via bank-transfer or cheque) and not through the payment gateway.
May I reschedule my booking?
Absolutely. You may reschedule your booking. TERIFLIX Reschedule Policy is as follows:

  • 3 days or more before your rental/booking: Rescheduling at Zero Fee, provided the alternate date requested is free and available.
  • 24 hours to 3 days before your rental/booking: Rescheduling Fee of 20%, provided the alternate date requested is free and available.
  • Less than 24 hours before your rental/booking: No rescheduling.
May I bring food and beverages from outside?

It depends on the venue.

Some venues might have a restaurant or an eatery attached, in which case you can buy food from there. Some venues might not sell food, in which case you may bring / order-in food. However, there might be some restrictions like vegetarian only, no alcohol and so on.

In addition, some venues might allow you to enjoy your food inside the theater. Some may request that you only take dry foods like popcorn inside the theater, and relish all other food within the venue in designated areas, but outside the theater.

May I smoke at TERIFLIX venues?

In general, the law does not allow smoking in public spaces, and the same law applies to all our venues.

Having said that, some venues may have designated smoking areas. Please review individual Venue details to learn more.

What are TERIFLIX working hours?
Typically, most of our venues operate from 11 AM to 9:30 PM and offer two slots of 3.5 hours each.

However, our venues may configure their own working hours. Please review individual Venue details to learn more.

How may I make bookings?

All bookings must be made on our website www.teriflix.com

Kindly note that all bookings have to be created and paid-for online in advance. Also, we do not accept spot bookings at any of our venues.

Are you prices inclusive of GST?

The Government has provided a spectacular option for any new business like ours – we are not required to charge any GST until we reach Rs. 40 Lakh turnover. Mighty good of them. We thought we should simply pass on this benefit to our customers. That is why we are not charging you any GST at present.

At some point in time, hopefully in the near future, when we cross Rs. 40 Lakh turnover, we will have to charge GST. Also, it is possible that the Rs. 40 Lakh facility does not apply to certain services we offer. Even then, we will have to charge GST separately.

We will notify you when either of these happens.

Are there any hidden charges?

No, there are no other hidden charges.

When you book your slot at TERIFLIX, you will receive an email listing all the services that are included in your booking. You will receive everything that is listed out in that email without any additional charges.

Why do you need my phone number and email address while booking TERIFLIX?

We need your email address to send you a confirmation email after your purchase.
We need your phone to send SMS confirmation on your phone.

TERIFLIX Console

At TERIFLIX we use high-end computer hardware that runs Windows 10 Pro and an internally developed TMS software that we would like to call TERIFLIX Console. All shows at TERIFLIX, except for streaming media content, are programmed using TERIFLIX Console.

Our core focus areas at TERIFLIX is private screening and venue rentals. TERIFLIX Console enables rapid personalisation of shows by offering the ability to quickly add welcome cards, acknowledgement texts, first half content, interval breaks with custom lounge music and second half content.

TERIFLIX Console supports playback from the following formats

  • Audio: MP3, WAV, M4A
  • Video: MP4, MOV (ProRes not supported) & DCP. On special request, we can also playback from a BluRay disk.

Playback of DCP is accomplished using NeoDCP Player, which is a hugely successful and widely sought after player world-over for private screening spaces like ours. Infact it is used for playing movies from DCP at a lot of film festivals around the world. Among many software players available in the market, NeoDCP is the most secure in that it does not allow copy or export of encrypted or unencrypted DCP into open formats (like MOV or MP4).

Can you screen from Qube or UFO?

None of our venues currently have Qube or UFO installations. So we are unable to screen films on these platforms.

Why don't you install Qube or UFO systems at your venues?

Our venues are mostly used for private screening purposes. The costs associated with Qube or UFO systems are too high for the market we are currently targeting.

Can I playback movies from MOV or MP4 at TERIFLIX?

Absolutely. As mentioned earlier on this page, TERIFLIX Console supports playback from MOV and MP4 files. Please make sure that the storage device in which you bring the content supports USB3 connectivity for fast reading. Please also note that ProRes MOV files are not supported at TERIFLIX.

Can I playback from open DCP?

Absolutely. As mentioned earlier on this page, TERIFLIX Console supports playback from DCP files via NeoDCP Player, which is a software player. Please make sure that the storage device in which you bring the content supports USB3 connectivity for fast reading.

Can I playback from encrypted DCPs?

Absolutely. As mentioned earlier on this page, TERIFLIX Console supports playback from DCP files via NeoDCP Player, which is a software player. Please make sure that the storage device in which you bring the content supports USB3 connectivity for fast reading. You will also need to bring KDM key from the film’s producer or distributor for decrypting the DCP before playback. Aren't software DCP players unsafe? I have heard that one can export DCPs to open formats using software players, is that true?

It is true that NeoDCP Player is not DCI compliant. So if you are nervous about content safely, it is perfectly normal.

However please take note that it is not possible to export open or encrypted DCPs to any other video format. The software simply does not allow it.

Unlike many other theatres, our operator rooms are not placed at a separate location from the auditorium where may run the risk of your content being illegally copied to other storage devices. The operator room is within the auditorium and its access can be monitored by you at all times.

It is perfectly safe to playback and authorise playback from both open and encrypted DCPs at our venues. Many film makers have had a great experience doing so in the past.

Do we have to copy or ingest DCPs into your projector?

No. We playback films directly from storage devices brought by you; unless you are watching from our private screening library in which case the content and its storage are managed by us.

Unlike other theaters where content ingestion is mandatory and therefore very time consuming, at TERIFLIX you can program your shows and get ready to start in 5 minutes or less.

Can I connect my laptop or player-appliance to your theatre?

We do not allow tethering of any non-TERIFLIX appliance to our equipment apart from a content storage device in which you have brought the content.

Social Screening FAQ
What is Social Screening?

Social Screening is a unique movie experience from TERIFLIX. Social Screening uses the power of social media to physically bring people together around a movie.

In regular theatres and multiplexes, you get to watch a movie only at times that they have scheduled with hundreds of other unknown people in the auditorium.

At TERIFLIX, with Social Screening, you will have the liberty to launch your own Screening. You get to select any movie from the TERIFLIX Library, select any TERIFLIX venue, pick a time slot convenient to you, and launch a Screening.

Also, someone else might have already launched a Social Screening of a movie. If you wish, you might simply choose to join that Social Screening.

To launch a Social Screening or to join one, all you need is one or more Social Screening Pass.

What is a Social Screening Pass?

Social Screening Pass is what you need to launch or join a Social Screening. It is a prerequisite. With one Social Screening Pass, you get the privilege to either launch or join one Social Screening.

Oh! A Social Screening Pass is just another fancy name for a movie ticket, isn’t it?

Not at all. There is a fundamental difference.

When you buy a movie ticket, you obtain the right for one person to watch a specific movie at a given movie theatre and at a given time.

If you miss the screening, then you lose the money you paid for the movie ticket.

  • You cannot use the movie ticket to watch another movie at the same theatre.
  • You cannot use the movie ticket to watch the same movie at another theatre.
  • You cannot use the movie ticket to watch the same movie at the same theatre at a different time.

Unlike a movie ticket, a Social Screening Pass gives you the right to join social screening of any movie, at any TERIFLIX venue and at any time you choose. At the time of purchase, a Social Screening Pass is not tied to a specific movie, a venue or time slot. It is only when you commit a Social Screening Pass does it get tied to a movie, venue and time slot.

How long is a Social Screening Pass valid?

Each Social Screening Pass allows entry to one person for a Social Screening.  When a Social Screening Pass is used up for a Social Screening, it is said to be consumed. Once consumed, the Social Screening Pass cannot be used again.

An unused Social Screening pass is one that has not yet been used up in any Social Screening.

An unused Social Screening Pass has unlimited validity. However, this is as an introductory offer. In the near future, Social Screening Passes will have an expiry date.

How many Social Screening Passes may I purchase at a time?

There is no limit on the number of Social Screening Passes you can purchase. Each Social Screening Pass allows entry to one person for a Social Screening.

So if you, for instance, purchase 10 Social Screening Passes, you may use them to participate yourself in ten different Social Screenings, or two of you may participate in five different Social Screenings or ten people to participate in one Social Screening. It is completely up to you.

How do I launch a Social Screening?

Launching a Social Screening is very simple.

  • Sign-up or login to your TERIFIX account on our website.
  • The first step is to ensure that you have at least one active Social Screening Pass in your TERIFLIX Account. An active a Social Screening Pass is one that has not been used in any Social Screening yet. If you do not have any active Social Screening Pass, we will prompt you to first purchase at least one Social Screening Pass. You may decide to buy any number of Social Screening Passes.
  • The next step is to visit the Social Screening page on our website. This page will provide you with a catalogue of movies and an option to launch a Social Screening.
    • Select a movie,
    • Select a TERIFLIX venue,
    • Pick a date & time slot from the list to schedule a Social Screening,
    • Optionally, write a invitation or welcome message that will be displayed on the social screening page,
    • Commit atleast one of your passes to the social screening and
    • Click on the “Create Screening” button.

    That’s it! Your social screening is now launched with you as its host.

  • Every social screening needs a minimum number of people to join the screening before a cutoff date, failing which it will be cancelled and everybody’s social screening passes will get credited back to their respective TERIFLIX accounts, which can then be used to launch or join another social screening.
  • To ensure that your social screening doesnt get cancelled, please share URL to the social screening page on your social media accounts. We will also announce it on our social media accounts to help ensure that people join the screening. Each time a person joins the social screening, everybody who has already joined it gets an email notification.
  • As soon as the social screening reaches a minimum audience, it will automatically get confirmed and everybody gets a confirmation email.
How do I get other people to join a Social Screening that I have launched?

Once you launch the Social Screening, you will have an option to publish the details of the Social Screening on your Social Media. You can either share URL to the social screening page on your social media accounts, or click on social media sharing buttons on our website to share them.

How do I join a Social Screening?

There are two ways to join a Social Screening. One, by using a link published on Social Media or two, by directly visiting our website.

In both cases, you will be required to sign-up or login to your TERIFLIX account.

If you have received a link from any of your Social Media, it means that someone wants you to join a Social Screening that they have launched. Simply click on the link and (after login) you will be taken to the specific Social Screening details page where the details of the Social Screening will be displayed. You will be able to read about the movie and the venue.

If you do not have any active Social Screening Pass, we will prompt you to first purchase at least one Social Screening Pass. You may decide to buy any number of Social Screening Passes. After purchasing Social Screening Passes, you will be redirected to the Social Screening page, where you get to commit one or more Social Screening Passes from your TERIFLIX account and join the screening.

If you directly visit TERIFLIX website, then you will need to navigate to the Social Screening page, where you will see a list of movies whose Social Screenings are active. Select any social screening you like, and commit one or more Social Screening Passes from your TERIFLIX account to join the Social Screening.

How much lead time should I provide for a Social Screening?

Lead time is the minimum number of days required from when you launch a Social Screening to the date of the actual Screening. Different movies have different lead time requirements.

When you select a movie to launch a Social Screening, you will be displayed a calendar where you get to select a date. This calendar will automatically factor the lead time required for the selected movie, and only allow you select a date beyond the required lead time.

For instance, let’s say today is Aug 15. For Movie-A, let’s say the lead time is 6 days. Then your Social Screening for Movie-A can be organized for Aug 22 or later. The calendar will allow you to select a date that is Aug 22 or later.

Why so much lead time? And why would lead time vary based on the movie?

Here is why:

  • Once a Social Screening for a movie is launched, we need to provide adequate time for more people to join the Social Screening. If you create a Social Screening for the next day, enough number of people will not be able to join. Hence the minimum lead time for all movies is 6 days
  • For almost all movies in TERIFLIX Library, TERIFLIX has already secured permanent screening rights. However, for a few movies TERIFLIX will need to obtain a go-ahead for every screening from the respective studio that owns the rights for the movie even though there is an on-going agreement between the studio and TERIFLIX. The studios mandate a lead time for providing the go-ahead. This is why the lead time may vary based on the movie.
Will you issue a receipt when I purchase Social Screening Pass?

Definitely! A receipt is instantly emailed to you.

Can I return my unused Social Screening Pass(es) and get a refund?

Social Screening Passes once sold cannot be refunded. Although, you will be happy to know that your passes have an unlimited validity. So you will be able to use your social screening pass at any time in the future.

Is there a minimum and maximum number of people for a Social Screening?

Yes, there certainly is a minimum and maximum number of people for a Social Screening. These minimum and maximum numbers are based on the TERIFLIX venue and film.

When you launch a Social Screening or join one, the minimum and maximum numbers are displayed prominently.

What happens if minimum number of people do not join the Social Screening?

When you launch a Social Screening, it is not yet confirmed for screening. When a minimum number of people join the screening, only then the Screening is confirmed.

If a minimum number of people (based on the TERIFLIX venue) do not join the Social Screening before a cutoff date, which is typically atleast 3 days before the Social Screening itself, then it will be cancelled. Please note that the cuttoff dates can change from movie to movie, and venue to venue.

If a Social Screening is cancelled due to lack of audience, then all the Social Screening Passes already committed thus far shall be credited back to the respective members’ TERIFLIX Account. Those passes can be used again for a different Social Screening.

How will I know if people are joining the Social Screening that I have launched?

As soon as you launch a Social Screening, you will receive an email stating that your Social Screening is launched, and that a specific number of people are required for the screening to be confirmed.

When someone joins your Social Screening, in addition to that someone, you also will be informed via email. Subsequently, as and when more people join the screening, you and everyone who has joined the screening will be informed via email. Please note, your email id will not be shared with any of the other members who join the screening. Nor will we share other member’s email ids with you.

In all these emails, the name of the person who launched the Social Screening is prominently stated, along with a their welcome note if any. Apart from this, these emails shall only state how many people have joined the screening so far, and how many more are required for the screening to be confirmed. No other personally identifiable information is included as part of this email.

May I choose any movie as part of Social Screening?

Yes! You may select any movie listed in our social screening creation page for launching a social screening.

What do I do if I don’t like any of the movies currently on TERIFLIX Library?

That would be a bummer!

But, worry not! We are continuously working to bring more and more movies into the TERLFIX Library. Just hold on to those Social Screening Passes. We assure you that very soon we will have a bunch of movies that will suit your taste in the TERIFLIX Library.

If you would like us to list a specific movie of your interest, please let us know. We will try and contact the production studio for rights to run social screenings of that movie.

May I cancel a Social Screening that I have launched?

Unfortunately, we do not have this option at present. Once you have joined a Social Screening by committing one or more passes, you cannot withdraw from it.

May I cancel a Social Screening that I have chosen to join?

There are legal issues involved with regards to anti-piracy and copyright laws, which prevent us from offering the facility for you to watch content from your own DVD, BluRay discs, laptop or other storage devices within our auditorium(s).

Can I bring my laptop or phone?

We highly recommend that you keep away all distractions while enjoying the TERIFLIX experience. You may still carry your laptop, tablet or mobile phone into the auditorium. We only request you to ensure that they do not cause damage to the aesthetics and infrastructure installed in the auditorium, including all the equipment.

Also, we are strictly against PIRACY. Taking videos or photos of content presentation within the auditorium is strictly prohibited.

But, we understand if you want to capture video or photos of you and your family enjoying the TERIFLIX experience. Feel free. Go right ahead.

Will you fill vacant seats?

No, we do not fill vacant seats.

With Private Screening and Private Streaming options, it is entirely up to you to decide with whom you want to share your experience. We wouldn’t want to ruin your experience by allowing random strangers into the auditorium.

In the case of Social-Screening, everyone in the audience will be TERIFLIX Social Screening Members only, and there is a high chance that you know many in the audience. By the time the Social Screening begins, if there are vacant seats, they will continue to remain vacant. We won’t fill vacant seats by selling tickets or passes

May I sell tickets to vacant seats during my booking?
In the case of Private Screening and Private Streaming, we believe that it would be detrimental to your experience if you sell tickets and invite strangers into your space. We do not allow selling of tickets to vacant seats in your booking at the venue.
Will I get a discount if I use fewer seats?

The pricing is not determined by the number of seats you intend to occupy at TERIFLIX venues. Therefore, there is no discount (nor mark up) if you use fewer or more seats. You may invite as many of your friends and family members to your Private Screening or Private Streaming as the venue can accommodate.

May I get WiFi access to my devices at your venues?

We have optimized the WiFi to offer you best viewing experience. Other devices hooked to the WiFi will hinder playback of streaming media content and ruin your experience. For that reason, we cannot extend WiFi facility to you. However, please feel free to use your own 3G/4G connections.

May I host meetings at your venue?

We have designed our venues keeping in mind your entertainment needs. We envision that you are unwinding and having a good time in our auditoriums with your friends & family. As you can see, having a formal meeting in our auditoriums does not fit into the definition of “unwinding and having a good time” 🙂

With Social-Screening, there is no scope for engaging in any formal meetings. However, when you have booked TERIFLIX for a Private Screening or Private Streaming, and you wish to have informal discussions in our lounge space (where available), feel absolutely free. Just for your information, the time consumed towards such meetings is counted towards your booked time.

Do you have parking space?

It depends on the venue. Some venues have dedicated parking or valet parking. Rest offer public parking space, where you may park anywhere taking care not to inconvenience the traffic flow, neighbors or the general public. Please review individual Venue details to learn more.

May I cancel my booking?
Sure. You may cancel your booking. TERIFLIX Cancellation Policy is as follows:

  • 3 days or more before your rental/booking: Cancellation with 95% refund.
  • 24 hours to 3 days before your rental/booking: Cancellation with 50% refund.
  • Less than 24 hours before your rental/booking: Cancellation with no refund.NOTE: Refunds, if any, shall be processed within 20 days from the date of cancellation. All refunds shall be processed offline (via bank-transfer or cheque) and not through the payment gateway.
May I reschedule my booking?
Absolutely. You may reschedule your booking. TERIFLIX Reschedule Policy is as follows:

  • 3 days or more before your rental/booking: Rescheduling at Zero Fee, provided the alternate date requested is free and available.
  • 24 hours to 3 days before your rental/booking: Rescheduling Fee of 20%, provided the alternate date requested is free and available.

May I bring food and beverages from outside?

It depends on the venue.

In addition, some venues might allow you to enjoy your food inside the theater. Some may request that you only take dry foods like popcorn inside the theater, and relish all other food within the venue in designated areas, but outside the theater.

We want our customers to have the best audio-visual experience at TERIFLIX. We choose streaming services based on their ability to stream content that can fully exploit the audio-visual capability at TERIFLIX Venues.

In our research, we have not come across any service provider other than Netflix and Amazon Prime Video capable of streaming Full HD and Dolby content. That is why we allow only Netflix and Amazon Prime Video at TERIFLIX.

However, as and when we find streaming services whose “terms of use” are compatible with what we offer and also are capable of streaming Full HD & Dolby content, we will start supporting them. We will make sure to keep you informed from time to time.

What is the quality of equipment and infrastructure in TERIFLIX venues?

We have invested a lot of effort in creating the best environment for delivering a superior experience to you.

For our flagship venue at Girinagar, Bangalore, we have sourced all the equipment from best-in-class companies from across the globe. All the speakers are imported from France. The four Atmos speakers mounted on the ceiling are imported from the US. The sound is powered by the latest Marantz 6012 amplifier. Marantz is known for making great amplifiers, in addition to having seven decades of experience in this field. The Full HD 1080p REC 709 Color projector is imported from Taiwan. The SPC (silver plated copper) HDMI cable transmits loss-free, Full HD image to the projector.

As we expand and open new venues, we will invest in equipment appropriate to the size and capacity of the venue to deliver the best-in-class audio-visual, aesthetic and ambient experience to you.

We invite you to enjoy TERIFLIX auditoriums using your subscription account with any of the streaming media content providers supported at TERIFLIX.

Do I necessarily need to have Netflix or Amazon Prime Video subscription?

Yes, you must have an active subscription with Netflix or Amazon Prime Video. Once you check-in at a TERIFLIX venue, we will hand you a device where you must sign-in to your streaming media account. You may then choose any content on the device and simply cast the content on the screen.

Can I use TERIFLIX or its employees' Netflix or Amazon Prime Video subscription?

TERIFLIX is not legally allowed to share Netflix or Amazon Prime Video accounts belonging to its owners, employees or other customers. You are, however, legally allowed to use your own subscription for your personal and non-commercial use.

If you don’t have Netflix or Amazon Prime Video subscriptions, do not worry. It is super easy and takes less than a minute to subscribe.

Do you have any business arrangement with Netflix or Amazon Prime Video?

TERIFLIX does NOT have any business arrangement with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video or any other streaming media provider supported at TERIFLIX.

We are not authorised by any streaming media provider to collect subscription charges from its users on their behalf. All of the payment from you to us is only towards renting our premises & the equipment. No part of that payment is towards subscription charges to any of the streaming media providers on your behalf or otherwise.

Suppose I plan to purchase Netflix Subscription, what kind of subscription plan should I sign-up for?

Netflix currently offers Basic, Standard and Premium plans. For best experience at TERIFLIX, to be able to enjoy Dolby Atmos audio and Full HD video at TERIFLIX. we highly recommend that you signup for Standard or Premium plans.

Currently, Netflix offers one month subscription free when you sign up for the first time. To sign up you will need the an active email ID and an active credit card.

Netflix requires you to provide your credit card number. However, they only charge your credit card after your one month free subscription expires. If you decide to not continue with them, you can simply cancel your subscription. Please read their “Terms Of Use” before signing up for a subscription plan.

Suppose I plan to purchase Amazon Prime Video Subscription, what kind of subscription plan should I sign-up for?

What are Special Events?

From time to time, TERIFLIX collaborates with external third parties to organize an event. You can buy passes to participate in such events.

For instance, TERIFLIX collaborates with the makers of an acclaimed movie to screen the movie in TERIFLIX as part of our In Depth Screening event. You will not only experience the movie at TERIFLIX, but after the screening, you will get to have an up, close and personal interaction with the makers of the movie.

Another example of a Special Event: Acclaimed Kannada Director, Rohit Padaki, conducts screen-writing workshop at TERIFLIX. If you are interested in learning from the best, you may purchase passes for the event from our website.

Likewise, CinemaSutra organizes talk shows with celebrities. You may have an opportunity to participate in the event. Not only will you get a chance to observe talk show being filmed live, you will also have an opportunity to meet the celebs, and get some selfies with them.

The above are just examples of special events. TERIFLIX will organize such events from time to time.

How do I participate in Special Events?

I am a filmmaker. What does TERIFLIX offer to me?

As a filmmaker, you will find TERIFLIX to be invaluable during your post-production, marketing and also after its release.

First, we welcome all kinds of filmmakers – feature film, short film, music videos, corporate videos and wedding videos. You can rent TERIFLIX to screen your own copyrighted content to your private audience. For instance, you can use TERIFLIX Venue Rental offering when you have to preview your movie along with your production team, or when you wish to showcase your movie to potential distributors.

Second, TERIFLIX and you can collaborate to extend the life of your movies. Once your movie completes its run at the theaters and multiplexes, your movie can continue to live at TERIFLIX, theoretically until eternity. I am filmmaker and I wish to screen my own movie. What documents do I need to submit if I wish to rent TERIFLIX?

It is simple and easy for TERIFLIX to stay focused on revenues, and not worry about content copyright and ownership. In fact, validating content copyright is an additional cost to us. So, why bother, right? Because integrity is way more important to us than profitability.

We will not allow pirated content into TERIFLIX, nor will we allow your content to be pirated at TERIFLIX. Please help us protect your content from piracy. We request you to furnish the following documents:

  • ID Proof of the content owner: Any govt. approved ID. Copy of your Aadhar, passport, driver’s license, Voter ID Card or PAN card
  • Proof of Content Ownership: Any document that adequately and beyond doubt establishes the ownership of the content. For example, KFCC Registration, Censor Certificate or a self-attested declaration (on official letterhead if applicable)
  • Declaration of Content Format & Storage Device: A declaration about the content format (like DCP, MOV, MP4) and the Storage Device (like Pen Drive, External Hard Drive, BluRay Disk) duly signed by the content owner (on official letterhead where applicable).

The following two additional documents are required only if the person renting TERIFLIX is different from the content owner, and the content owner is not likely to be present at TERIFLIX during the screening

  • ID Proof of the person renting TERIFLIX: Any govt. approved ID. Copy of your Aadhar, passport, driver’s license, Voter ID Card or PAN card
  • NOC: A “no objection letter” from the content owner (on official letterhead where applicable).

As you notice, only a genuine owner of the content will be able to furnish all the above documents. We welcome genuine filmmakers like you to TERIFLIX. We intend to keep pirates away from TERIFLIX.

Why do you need my phone number and email address while booking TERIFLIX?

We need your email address to send you a confirmation email after your purchase.
We need your phone to send SMS confirmation on your phone.

May I cancel my booking?
Sure. You may cancel your booking. TERIFLIX Cancellation Policy is as follows:

  • 3 days or more before your rental/booking: Cancellation with 95% refund.
  • 24 hours to 3 days before your rental/booking: Cancellation with 50% refund.
  • Less than 24 hours before your rental/booking: Cancellation with no refund.NOTE: Refunds, if any, shall be processed within 20 days from the date of cancellation. All refunds shall be processed offline (via bank-transfer or cheque) and not through the payment gateway.
May I reschedule my booking?
Absolutely. You may reschedule your booking. TERIFLIX Reschedule Policy is as follows:

  • 3 days or more before your rental/booking: Rescheduling at Zero Fee, provided the alternate date requested is free and available.
  • 24 hours to 3 days before your rental/booking: Rescheduling Fee of 20%, provided the alternate date requested is free and available.
  • Less than 24 hours before your rental/booking: No rescheduling.
May I bring food and beverages from outside?

It depends on the venue.

Some venues might have a restaurant or an eatery attached, in which case you can buy food from there. Some venues might not sell food, in which case you may bring / order-in food. However, there might be some restrictions like vegetarian only, no alcohol and so on.

In addition, some venues might allow you to enjoy your food inside the theater. Some may request that you only take dry foods like popcorn inside the theater, and relish all other food within the venue in designated areas, but outside the theater.

May I smoke at TERIFLIX venues?

In general, the law does not allow smoking in public spaces, and the same law applies to all our venues.
